They say that high school is the best four years of your life. And after completing nearly all four years, I still don’t believe that this is true. But what I’ve come to find is that high school truly changes people for the better, myself included. Four years ago, I was incredibly jealous of those girls who were single and didn’t mind not having a boyfriend. I thought that they were flawless. Naturally, I wanted to be like them. I never thought that I was good enough, for anybody. And I probably put myself down more times than I can count. But turn the clock forward 1,236 days, give or take a few, and I genuinely love and respect the person that I have become. I think that I’m pretty and likable and intelligent and definitely a girl worth getting to know. I know that I’m honest, hardworking, motivated, conscientious, perceptive, kind, independent, and faithful to the one person who matters the most. He has amazing plans for the rest of my life; I know that I can do anything because of Him. I guess that I am now one of those girls who is single and could care less about having a guy in her life. It has taken me four years to here… but now that I’ve finally figured it out, it feels damn good.
